Brasher Law Firm used Dropbox as its primary repository for legal documents. Its document storage was closely connected to Clio, where opening a new matter automatically created the corresponding Dropbox folder.
The firm wanted to move its documents to Microsoft SharePoint Online and make greater use of Microsoft 365. The migration needed to preserve its existing client and matter structure while accommodating SharePoint permissions, naming conventions and access requirements.
Brasher also worked with both Company and Individual clients, which required different folder structures and naming rules. The new environment therefore had to support these requirements without adding manual work for employees.
